FD4000 4 Axle Front Discharge Mixer
I've been wanting to build a mixer for so long. i think im about ready to take on this project.
Its an awesome challenge for the skills
the chassis rails are cut ,i have the axles and suspension in
I'm going to use a f350 axle up front ,semis in the rear ,3 speed tranny
ok I've built the axles ,fully bearinged
I figure the chassis and axles would look good orange
Looking at the truck i dont think the shocks are mounted on the outside the frame and tamiya has there shock mounted on the outside. If I do that the shock ower will sit above frame so I mounted the shocks on the inside.
I wont be painting the frame until I'm done drilling holes.
I've installed a 2 speed tranny and a 55 turn motor.
Servo is mounted and truck is all wheel drive.
Today I worked on the motor compartment.
Just thinking I need all the room I can get under this engine box.
Need to install another motor to turn the cone.
Something simple but effective on the radiator
Now I started working on the fenders.
The frame is 35mm short, and the motor box is too narrow so I made a new one.
I also finished the 2nd fender now and mounted.
Here is the new rails they are 1 1/4 inch longer.
Time to make custom single rims.
Ok. now the rims are done an mounted.
I even had time to sand and paint 1 fender and I'm very happy with it.
I started working on the bumper and i've intalled a servo for turning the spout and added lights.
I started woking on fuel tank. It came out really nice.
I've also painted it.
Today I intalled custom mudflap. and Added Dually's instead of singles.
Now I worked ont he Front bumper and fenders
and I've made my cab :)
