The Plan!
Concept Scania truck, First I drew the desing onto styrene sheet.
the started cutting.
After making the sides, I assembled it to get a glance of how it will look.
It's really starting to take shape.
Now its time to start thinking of how the roof will take shape.
I cut out a shape withe a curve in front, to give it its curvy roof.
Then I started working on the roof lights.
Here it is now with the top lining on.
Spoiler is now up on top and the windshield is prefitted.
Side vanes added and back window shape added.
Ok, fender is on now and I added putty to later smooth it.
Then I added both fenders and its looking super aggressive.
Started thinking about what color I will want to use.
And grill design.
Grill Design coming along nicely.
It's getting better little by little.
Started Work on the Side mirrors
Here I decided to make the mirrors a little long.
Before moving on any further on this cab. I need to mount it on the
frame and make sure it works properly.
I was getting ready to make a bumper and noticed the knight hauler would be a great donar for a bumper fit perfect.
Grill area now added :) details are coming nicely.
Chassis is ready and tranny is installed.
I really didn't want to add the stock scania battery tray but have no choice.
also installed skirt brackets.
I made a carboard mockup here for the side skirts.
Ok, I cut the 1st plastic piece using .80, everything looks about right
the skirts will have tops to them and it will have a steps.
Here I did some more work on the skirts and added the steps.
Here you can see the progress I have made on the skirts, their almost ready 1 side is done.
I found some tires I like but I still need to find some nice looking rims. But here, is a preview.
Here I added a rectangle stack. It matches the trucks design really well.
Preview of another set of rims.
I made the other side skirt.
I started on the rear fender and lights. I mounted it just to see what it would look like.
But I think overall it goes really well with the truck and its style.
New rims installed :)
Here I made a few changes to the skirt, I wanted it tobe more angled.
Added square tubing underneath the doors and ran the round pipes out the back.
It's coming together nicely! i have the skirts sanded and primed.
